Tmpl8-cross
Template for the Y1 Block A project at BUas.
Windows/Visual Studio
Either use the provided CMake project, or tmpl8_2024-01.sln solution
(within Visual Studio).
The .sln/.vcxproj file(s) are generated automatically
and should not be edited manually.
See update-vcxproj.bash.
Linux/macOS
Ensure your environment is set up for using Clang as your C compiler
Nix
If you run NixOS, or in case a Non-NixOS distro have Nix installed, this repo provides a flake with devshell you can use to get a full development environment with all the tools needed to build and run the game and/or Tmpl8
To enter it, run:
nix develop
... or approve the directory with direnv to automatically enter the env
while working on the project:
direnv allow
Sony PSP
The PSP target only implements subset of Tmpl8's features. Be careful about what you use if you want your game playable on the PSP.
Ensure you have PSPDEV dev-kit installed;
See The PSPDEV website for more details.
You need a Linux or Unix-like environment for this to work;
To build the PSP version run:
psp-cmake -Bbuild-psp
cd build-psp
make
Copy assets/ and EBOOT.PBP into a subdirectory of PSP/GAME on the PSP's SD/MS
card. It should be bootable with any custom firmware (CFW), like Ark4/Ark5;
For guide on installing a CFW on your PSP which allows to run unsigned homebrew and game backups, see the PSPunk website
Non-CFW PSP
psp-cmake -Bbuild-psp -DBUILD_PRX=1 -DENC_PRX=1
cd build-psp
make
this, using dark magic, will produce a SIGNED myGame.prx that should be bootable
even on a non-modified console.
